Why don’t I see a “Quoting” security status in Blue Ocean ATS test data?
“Quoting” status is rare and applies to IPOs quoted on another exchange, which does not occur during Blue Ocean ATS trading hours.
It is extremely unlikely for clients to encounter a “Quoting” status in Blue Ocean ATS data.

This status is used internally by trading platforms to denote an IPO being quoted on another exchange.

Since Blue Ocean operates from 8:00PM – 4:00AM ET, this situation does not occur during our trading hours.
Therefore, Quoting status is not disseminated in test data and does not affect live Blue Ocean trading activity.
