How often will Blue Ocean clear the book and how does it work?
Clear Book messages are rare and only occur when required by an operational, technical, or regulatory event.
Clear Book messages are infrequent. Since go-live, none have been sent.
When a book is cleared, Blue Ocean first issues an H Halted message for the symbol, signaling that trading has paused. This message does not zero out the best bid or offer. It only informs participants that the symbol is halted.
Following that, a Clear Book (X) message is sent to confirm all orders for the symbol have been removed. Clients should use this message to clear their internal books.
