Does Blue Ocean enforce Short Sale Restrictions (SSR)?
Blue Ocean does not enforce SSR during overnight hours because no NBBO exists.
Blue Ocean ATS has determined that it does not need to enforce the Alternative Uptick Rule, since there is no NBBO during its trading hours and SIP feeds are not active. Participants remain responsible for their own compliance.
The technology platform is fully capable of enforcing SSR if required. If enforcement were activated, an order in an SSR symbol priced at or below the NBB would be canceled with Cancel Reason 21004=12 (NonCompliantPrice).
