Can I trade IPO names on Blue Ocean ATS the night of their first trading date?

Yes. Once an IPO has begun trading on its primary exchange, Blue Ocean will make it available for trading the same night at 8:00PM ET.

Blue Ocean ATS allows trading of IPO names on the evening of their first trading day, provided the security has already begun trading on its primary exchange.

For example:

  • If a company lists and begins trading at 11:00AM ET on 2027.01.01,

  • That instrument will be tradable on Blue Ocean ATS starting at 8:00PM ET on 2027.01.02.

This policy ensures IPO names are accessible to global investors during Blue Ocean’s overnight trading session.
